Little Fish @ The Wheatsheaf
This time last year Little Fish played the Beard Museum at the Wheatsheaf. It was well attended and enjoyable (Juju threw sweets into the audience) A year later the most obvious difference is that 50 people are turned away as the venue is quite small and Little Fish have progressed a long way in 2008. They haven't played in the UK since September 14th and it's great to catch up with so many people including others who have travelled from London. The Wheatsheaf now has a light which is nice. The band have also changed a bit since I saw them in Berlin 6 weeks ago. There seem to be some American rock influences added, of which I am not entirely sure. Vaguely similar to Give 'em enough rope from the Clash produced by Sandy Pearlman. Anyway we shall see. It's late by I get in from Oxford after dropping off a car load of fans in Camden.
Little Fish @ Postbahnof, Berlin
Postbahnof is surprisingly like Oxford Academy. The shell is an old railway shed and a lot of the audience are German, but the actual stage size, layout and lighting is really like the academy in Oxford. There are also quite a lot of visitors from Oxford and London. It’s 6 weeks since I’ve seen Little Fish, they have recorded an album and, for a week, been playing nearly every night with Supergrass. Whilst I’ve been relaxing in Berlin they have played Vienna and spent a day driving here. They are enjoying life on the road.
JuJu of Little Fish @ the Drawing Room
Richard has organised this event to feature JuJu before Little Fish depart for LA and recording. He has packed the bill with young talent including Maxine and Mandy.

Little Fish @ EnDorset Festival
Little Fish opened the Festival on the main stage. The crowd were not quite ready; after a long queue to get in and probably putting up tents and stuff, and choosing their outfits for the evening it's no wonder that most people just sat on the grass looking kind of exhausted. It's a similar set to last night at the Thirst Lodge but new song 'Hope I die young' is put in the middle of the set so that whiplash can get the show off to a more traditional start.
With them playing at the start of the festival I suppose I could have stayed all weekend with my wristband, but I think I need to sort out some pictures and wash some shirts, and there's a really good line-up at the buffalo bar on sunday. After a late night/early morning yesterday, it's nice to get home by 9.30.

In case you think I've stopped writing a few bon mots with these posts, do not fear I've got weeks' of entries written in my book. I am goibg to type them up next week when I have a couple of days in Venice.
