This gig at the Mean Fiddler was very sought after by Lizzzzzzy, acute Creel Commission and recently acute Carnival of Souls fan. She wanted to see Esoterica for a while, and even though it was expensive to get in, we decided to follow her. The evening started with a delicious meal at a restaurant on Wardour Street, called Vita Organic (Organic restaurant here) who did wonderful organic vegetarian food (seaweed and sprouted lentils dishes, yum) and then a rush to meet Lizzzy in front of oh so smelly and sickly Mac Donalds at 10pm. We then got in the Mean fiddler, but our Faithful Neil was stopped by the doorman, who inspected his bag (coi=ntaining camera) and as Neil was paying to get in, the doorman came back to him and stopped him, saying if he didnt have a camera pass he had to leave his camera with him. Neil refused and went home :-(  But you can't really trust doormen with expensive camera equipment, can you.... Esoterica had failed to give us a photo pass :-( shame on them.
A bit of socialising with the band members and particularly Matt, who got on well with Lizzzzzzy. The gig was good, very well done , and had a good response. BUt we got chucked out the place very soon after. The evening had to stop there for Fashion-Terrorist, in regards of the coming big event taking place the day after, at the Mab Underworld's gig... But it was wise.
