An excellent evening promoted by Shout! A good bill of quality bands. Although I went to see Ghostcat (who were excellent) I thought Florence and the Machine were much more animated when I saw them up the road in Hoxton Square. This is an intimate venue with LIGHTS. The lights are hot so everything (particularly the bands) gets hot and sweaty. The ambience is also helped by the availability of draft beers.

Nice to go to a venue with lights. The lights are still a bit hit and miss as all the bands are set up across the (fairly big) stage, so when the bands play, the lighting isn't really set up for anyone. Anyway apart from being a bit red Ms Pringle was quite visable and even though the soundman was aparently more interested in MSN that the the lovely ms pringle, the sound seemedc pretty good to me - the songs sounded like they do on myspace, so I think that's good.
