MAB Unplugged @ The Intrepid Fox

The gig was fantastic, it felt very priviledged to be able to be at the Intrepid Fox, on a private birthday party . Many people could not get in, as it was private, and the downstairs of the Fox was very crammed too...
I didn't know what to expect from Mab playing an accoustic set, I was a bit scared they would sound tiny and thin, but no...How did I dare fearing that for a minute! It was loud and beautiful! Alice's voice was amazing, and Marina and Lisa had picked up some accoustic guitars, which were very strange, but did fit them well!
Jessica was very restrained, and didn't do her usual "battering the drums to death", with that energy and rythm only known to her.
What they called themselves ,"the Cheesy Mab" , was in fact mostly older songs they didn't play anymore, some of them which were really beautiful. As they said, they thought they would not do another accoustic gig again, but I am sure they will, such a thing is needed as a band grows bigger,  to keep the fans happy, and they did it beautifully.
The atmosphere was very intimate, a row of fans were sitting at the front, some of them messing up their knees and getting cramps, but they stuck to it through pain and discomfort, as Mab's soothing sound was enough to make them happy. A very special gig.
