I came across George Pringle on myspace when researching a gig. Mostly we find new bands when they play with bands we know or by recommendation. Because of this we try to look at myspace of bands playing - to see whether we should rush our dinner :-)

Anyway when I came across George Pringle's myspace I was quite taken with her wimsyical poetry spoken over dance tunes constructed in garageband. The Guardian (early in 2007) included her in their list of 'Mini Allens' (a reference to Lilly Allen).

I think the use of slide projectors to replace proper lighting seems to be common in Notting Hill. Apart from the lack of light the venue was quite pleasant.. The gig was quite short, but worth the visit. We shall venure out again to see George Pringle.
