An entertaining evening. This band are friends of Voltane, who invited me to this their first gig. As they offered to put me on the guestlist there seemed to be no reason not to pop down to the Bull & Gate. Quite handy to set the camera up for tomorrow night too. The evening started with the slight embarassment of forgetting the name of the band whose guestlist I was on. There was a good crowd, it probably helped that xiphon are a local band. Strictly the band are a little heavy and hairy for me but they put on a good show and present an interesting challenge for photographing. Fortunately the quality lighting at the Bull and Gate provides some latitude for my camera settings, so the challenge can be met.
