It's a long evening in Paradise. Gus always has a long and interesting bill. I've seen Alan Wass before otherwise I'm unfamiliar with the acts. The first time I saw Alan Wass he turned up so late that the next band were actually about to play. I remember him quite clearly as I very nearly missed the last tube as the headline band played so late. Tonight he seems unwell and doesn't appear until later in the evening than scheduled. When he does play he still seems 'indisposed'. The place is pretty well packed by the headline band take to the stage around midnight. The evening finishes with a couple of burlesque artists. By now it is nearly 2am and I'm ready for bed.
