The Genies @ Mother Bar

I came across the Genies last September and enjoyed their set. They are from Scotland so don't have that many gigs in London. I've been keeping an eye on them, and whilst they have played a couple of times I haven't made them (well last week it was them that didn't make it). They have a good sound and look quite cool although there's no wild antics to excite me. Surprisingly they remember me and not only say hello, but ask after Joana and the Wolf who were also playing that night at the Fly. This is the sort of attention which can produce loyal fans for a band; I think it's a big plus when weighing how far a band will progress.
I am still slightly disturbed that people should remember meat all , never mind by name! Apart from the bansd I didn't see anyone I knew at the gig - although that's not surprising as there aren't any lights at the Mother Bar. After two sociable and chatty nights it's good to have a night of introspection and observation. Neither of these produces anything worthy of sharing with you tonight.
