no one @ TheRhythm Factory

I had three events in my listings for tonight. As I have things I want to get on with tomorrow I ruled out both Bleech at Koko and No Cars at the 12 Bar. These were both scheduled to end after midnight so involved either driving or catching a night bus.

This left the Vulgarians at the Rhythm Factory who were scheduled to play at 10pm. Whilst the Rhythm Factory is not one of my favourite venues - as I have written before - the time seemed reasonable.

So I arrived at 9.50 to find that Vulgarians were listed as playing at 11.30 and the bands were running at least 15 minutes late. I went home. I won't be attending any promotions by Goldmine at the Rhythm Factory or anywhere else, and I would urge other people who go out to actually see live bands rather just get drunk or do drugs to do likewise. There seems to be an increasing trend for so called promoters in the East End of London to assume that everyone leads lives as empty and worthless as them and doesn't get out of bed at the weekend. What does it matter if you put a band on after the last tube has gone....what does it matter if their friends and fans had to leave before the band plays. Obviously it matters to the band but not to the so called promoter who has already got their cash, but not mine.

Ha ha, at least it has given me some time to write a few words on my blog and I won't have to edit any photos tomorrow.
