Me & the Beast @ The Fiddlers Elbow

The Fiddler's elbow is a strange venue; so near to the main drag in Camden, but so far from the teeming crowds. That's not to say it's empty, but most of the crowd seem to have come with the bands, from Portsmouth and somewhere up north. The bar is more of a hatch and it's difficult to see how they can sell enough drinks to survive as a pub. The lights would not be bad, except that they insist on using a terrible sequencer which just flashes like glorified christmas tree lights - so it's nice and bright when the bands are setting up and for most of the first song before the soundman remembers to switch the sequencer on.
Ther's no option but to use flash.

Carly is still wearing her red boots which attracted me to the band when they played with bands I knew at the Water Rats. I enjoyed the show although Carly seemed disappointed when I chatted to her afterwards.

I quite enjoyed the band Betaboy but didn't take photos as I was in the middle of a Guiness and the lights were off-putting.
