Exotica (Anouska Solo) @ Abbey Tavern

Anouska from Exotica has decided to do some solo accousticcy gigs as she is more available than her rhythm section. I think the full band are planning at getting some demos together before arranging a new string of dates. So tonight is her first solo outing. She is playing at a well organised open mike night in Kentish Town. The venue has nice lights and good sound. Although she only decided to play at 4pm this afternoon quite a few people have turned up to see her play. She plays a couple of new songs and one that we have heard in the full band set.
Apparently Daniel Miller has now resigned as Exotica's manager, the 5 or 6 times they told him he was sacked having not entirely sunk in. Hopefully he will also stop sending Anouska deranged e-mail tirades and move on to 'helping' someone else.

Also playing tonight is Richie who used to be in Monacle Rose. He is also just starting out on the accoustic side, having missed the buzz of live gigs. He tells me he is a bit nervous but performs a respectable set including a Julian Cope cover and a couple of his own numbers.

A very pleasant evening.
