No Cars @ The Buffalo Bar

Before No Cars is a band with a trumpet, on the downside they are a six-piece. Even with a dedicated singer I think this is too many. I like the trumpet and the singer is idiosyncratic, although maybe too idiosyncratic. I enjoy their first song but by the end of the set I am finding it a bit samey. I must look them up and make a note of their name.

No Cars are as cute as ever; Haruna pulls a volunteer from the audience and asks her if she is on drugs ( like you'd have to be on drugs to volunteer). I think her only role is to stand on the stage and dance around a bit. The DJ volunteers for the song where Haruna kicks big white man in some sort of artistic retribution for white male supremacy in modern music. Surely there must be a 'specialist' website that would pay for footage of cute Japanese girl ritually kicking a white male twice her size. Haruna is very clever so has probably already thought of this. Unfortunately I don't have the time to research this properly.
