This secret barfly gig was well needed... Mab hadn't played for what seemed such a long long time... lots of the fans were there, and they ended the Barfly show after Maleficent, in beauty.
They were looking as gorgeous as always, Jessica didn't have a pretty flower in her hair, which was particularly delightful in her hair the night before.
Alice was wearing the dress from the Mean Fiddler gig, a dress half black and half white, with harlequin checks, supported by a tight black velvet corset. She looked fabulous.
Both Lisa and Marina were wearing their new 2 dresses I made during that week, Marina's was long and flowy, and Lisa's was daringly short, but worn with hot pants underneath... (She forgot to wear the gloves with it !Huh!)
The sudden appearance of Simona, during the song "pure" dressed up in one of my white dresses made for Lisa, and wearing ballerina shoes, was outstanding and so unexpected! She entered the stage on her tip toes, and combined that with some rhythmic dancing, all through the song. She could have done with more stage space, to expand more...Maybe we will see her again on a bigger show. Thanks, Simona!
Their set was nice and long, and they ended it with Last tango in London, which is an absolute marvel. Their other new songs were nice too, but as Voltane snatched all the set lists when the gig was over, I don't remember their names...:-(

O-F.

MAB are magnificent tonight. After the cramped, intimate surroundings of last night's acoustic set the Barfly feels spacious and loud. MAB look and sound at home, it feels like a special night.
The first resplendent notes of Aria summon the faithful to worship and the uncommited to wonder. The set progresses through several established songs and the new Suicidal Angel to Pure (the new single), where the band are joined by Simona from Maleficent. Dance sweet dancer dance! The show culminates with 2 new songs, the finale being 'Last tango in London' which has already become a firm favourite amongst the faithful.

N-A.
