Subdivine - ULU 18th August
The gig in Ulu in Russel Square was welcomed, it had been so long we had not been to a gig!
We arrived aroudn 8pm and didn't quite know where to enter so we went where the people were going to, and a man there stopped me and asked to see my student card(which is expired since ages) and then let us pass. He ramdomly picked us, not sure why, many other people were passing. Anyway we went upstairs and eventually found the stage, amazing big stage in a big room.
A few people were about, the bands, and managers, and bar staff. By that point we thought "damn we have not paid!" ah well it was too right, coming and hiring the Wildblanket team for videoing does require some kind of being on a guestlist, it was fair eough. I don't usually sit there and video bands...IT s boring! And I get to see nothing of the show!
The gig was very very good, the singer had a very strong voice that evening and I was happy, relieved and content to hear the band doing their dream like songs(particularly the song with the soft drums...it s so beautiful)
Paolo offered us a few beers afterwards which was very kind again , and their manager many hugs and thanking for videoing for them.
And for the pictures, of course.
The band after seemed to bring a few more people in, butby the third band we decided, after a chat with Subdivine, to go home.
NExt we must make sure we know them all personnally including their forenames.
O-f
